While everyone knows cleanliness keeps the mechanic away, not everyone knows how important it is to wash your boat, motor and trailer after they come out of the water.
Let’s start at the ground and work our way up. Axles and bearings are expensive and time consuming to replace. Over time, saltwater can damage the axle and the exterior of the axle bearing and erode the bearing grease.
If the axle bearings are properly greased, the damage on the outside can be slowed to a crawl simply by rinsing the saltwater off the axles when you wash your boat.
The motor flush is necessary to maintain the cooling system on your motor. Washing the salt out of the cooling lines stops it from depositing and blocking your motor’s ability to avoid overheating. No one wants an overheated boat motor when they are out on the water.
Saltwater left on your boat will leave salt deposits on the hull, all your gear, and the walls of your unit. Where there is salt, there is rust. Salt degrades the gel coat and the color of paint.

Pull your boat into the boat wash and rinse off all that terrible salt! Save money on gear, axle repairs, motor repairs, boat paint and storage.
